Submissions

Pippin Properties, Inc. is an agency devoted primarily to picture books, middle-grade, graphic novels, and young adult novels, also representing adult projects on occasion. We are always on the lookout for writers and illustrators who take the challenge of creating books seriously and are willing to give the publishing world nothing less than their very best.

Authors

If you are a writer who is interested in submitting a manuscript, please query us via email, and within the body of that email please include:

the first chapter of your novel with a short synopsis of the work, or
the entire picture book manuscript.

Illustrators

For illustrators interested in submitting their work, please send a query letter detailing your background in illustration and include links to website with a dummy or other examples of your work. No attachments, please.

Unfortunately we are not able to respond to every query. If you don't hear from us within six weeks, please understand that we have read and considered your query and have concluded that we are not the right agency to represent your work at this time.

If we do request additional material, we may request the opportunity to review it exclusively for one month.

Due to a recent influx of submissions, Holly McGhee is currently only accepting queries with industry referrals. She plans to reopen to all new queries on July 1, 2025.

Marissa Brown is currently closed to new queries while she catches up on those already in her inbox. An update will be posted on this page and on Query Manager when she reopens to new submissions, which she hopes will be soon.
